There’s always follow up questions, total awe from your audience and lots of laughter as you get to tell the story of how you got here. It feels so warm and fuzzy inside when you have fun for a living. Not to mention, you’ll always be in shape!
2. Getting to Teach Children Expression Through Creative Movement
Creative expression is a vital component to being human. We have been expressing ourselves all the way back to when cavemen carved stick-figure drawings into the sides of boulders. Being a teacher who shows children the beauty of creative expression and teaches them how to move and control their body is priceless. It is something they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
Another incredible thing about hoop dance is that it translates over to so many things! Learning muscle memory and how to flow with objects will not only make them better hoopers, but can open doors leading to other forms of dancing! It is a skill that children will forever be improving, working on and elevating.
3. After School Hula Hoop Teachers Have Schedule Flexibility
Who doesn’t want a flexible schedule? Life is so busy and we all have places to see, things to do and people to spend time with. That’s why your job should work around you, and being an after school instructor is a straight path to that freedom. First, weekends are always off because - you guessed it - there’s no school! And yes, that means holidays too. Any off-days that the school district has, so do you! Think Christmas, Thanksgiving, spring break, summer break…imagine all the adventures you can go on when you’re an adult with a summer break!
With that being said, you can also pile on the work if that’s what you prefer. If you like to have a few side jobs in your back pocket, after school programs are the place to be. Most classes don’t start until late afternoon, meaning you have the entire morning to fill with anything else you need to get done. With weekends and holidays open, you can choose to fill that up with more money making magic, too!
